Workshop Trainers

Connect Families Together With Circus

Date Required: Saturday 15 November
(Optional early shift for Sensory Session)

We’re looking for warm, confident, and energetic circus facilitators to deliver all-day, drop-in style workshops for kids and families. These aren’t structured classes — they’re open-access play zones where children can come and go freely, and your role is to guide, demonstrate, encourage, and create a space where people of all ages and abilities feel welcome to give circus a try.

This is not a “stand near the hoops and make sure no one gets hurt” role — it’s an active, people-facing position. We’re looking for trainers who can engage participants with energy and kindness, demonstrate tricks with clarity and enthusiasm, celebrate small wins, build confidence in shy learners, and help keep the energy high and the vibe inclusive.

Great for performers, educators, and anyone who loves turning “I can’t” into “Look what I can do!” - and getting parents playing and learning with their kids.

Tasks include:

  • Running all-day drop-in circus workshops

  • Engaging with children and families

  • Tailoring activities to suit various ages and abilities

  • Maintaining a fun, inclusive, and safe space

    Hours

    • Saturday 15th November – 11:00am - 6:00pm
      11:00 – 1:30pm (1.5h)
      2:00pm – 3:30pm (1.5h)
      4:00pm – 5:30pm (1.5h)

Optional / Additional Hours (if required):

    • Potentially a "soft play" circus workshop 9:00am - 11:00am for the sensory-friendly morning session

Please Note – Expressing Interest Doesn’t Guarantee a Role

We welcome and appreciate every expression of interest — truly. Putting your hand up to be part of the team is the first step, and it tells us you're excited to be involved. However, due to the nature of festival logistics, limited slots per role, and the need to build a balanced, skilled team across multiple areas, we unfortunately can’t guarantee that everyone will be placed in their preferred position (or placed at all).

We’ll be selecting crew based on a mix of experience, availability, team fit, and the overall needs of the event. Some roles may fill quickly or have more applicants than we can accommodate. In some cases, we may offer you an alternative role if your first preference isn’t available — or we may keep your details on file for future events.

Please don’t be discouraged — your enthusiasm still means a lot to us. We aim to build a crew that’s reliable, supportive, and brings out the best in each other on the day, and we appreciate your understanding as we make those calls behind the scenes.

If you have specific needs, limited availability, or questions about what might suit you best — feel free to let us know in your application. We’ll always do our best to match people to where they’ll thrive.

We’re Building
Something Together

Join this fun loving, happy crew

Ricochet Circus isn’t a booking agency - it’s a growing company with big dreams and a solid track record of delivering high-quality circus experiences across Western Australia. As we expand our touring, production, education, and festival programs, we’re looking for more than just short-term crew. We’re looking for people who want to build something with us.

We value reliability, great communication, and a strong work ethic — but just as importantly, we value people who are generous with their energy, kind to others, and passionate about bringing joy to communities. Whether you’re a performer, trainer, builder, or behind-the-scenes legend, we want people who take pride in their work and are excited by the idea of helping Ricochet grow into something even greater.

If you’re looking for a one-off shift, that’s okay — but if you’re looking for something longer-term, something meaningful, something you can be proud of… we’d love to meet you.

Let’s build this together.
